INVESTIGATOR DEVELOPMENT CORE
The goal of the IDW is to support the first
two aims of the RCMAR programs: 1) Increasing the number of researchers
who focus on the health of minority elders; and 2) Enhancing the diversity
in the professional workforce by mentoring minority academic researchers for
careers in minority elder health research.
RCMAR Webinar Series,, Estimating Costs of Elder Health
Learn about the use of an economic-demographic micro simulation called the Future Elderly Model (FEM). This webinar was presented by Bryan Tysinger, Director of Simulation and Data at USC Roybal Center for Health Policy Simulation on October 4, 2017. The model is designed to predict the future costs and health status of the elderly and explore what current trends or future shifts imply for policy. You may listen to and view the full session here.
